- ➤ Community members gathered at Chico Eagles Hall on Jan. 10 to remember bartender Terry Smith, who died while breaking up a fight at the Oasis Bar & Grill in December (honoring his bravery). Action News Now
- ➤ Bob Mulholland's burial service is set for Jan. 23 at Arlington National Cemetery, and his celebration of life will take place in Chico on Feb. 21 at Harvest Hall at Silver Dollar Fairgrounds (other events are scheduled in Los Angeles and Sacramento). Action News Now
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Firefighters in Plumas National Forest will start pile burning operations Monday to reduce wildfire risk and secure evacuation routes in areas affected by the 2018 Camp Fire. Residents in Magalia and nearby regions may see smoke and should take precautions while drivers follow temporary traffic controls. Action News Now
