  • Chico State’s Janet Turner Print Museum hosts The Hearne Collection: Source of Light exhibit for Black History Month, featuring 23 art pieces from Archie and Garbo Hearne’s collection until March 14—free admission. It welcomes visitors Tuesday through Saturday, noon to 4 p.m. with extended hours on Thursday until 8 p.m.  Action News Now

  • Chico State's University Galleries director Rachel Skokowski is expanding art access for students and community members by digitizing 3,000 prints and hosting free programs at the Janet Turner Print Museum. The gallery's plans include upcoming exhibits like the Art Bridges show in 2027 + interactive workshops for K–12 students.  Chico State Today

  • Warm winter weather is waking hibernating mosquitoes in Butte County, prompting more calls to the Mosquito and Vector Control District—officials say the insects are mainly a nuisance with little health risk while advising residents to take preventive steps like draining standing water.  KRCR
