- ➤ Martin Morris is honored this month as the local veteran for his service & dedication. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 2002 to 2006 and is recognized in a monthly veterans program. KRCR

- ➤ Paradise High cheer captain Carly Swanson is named Scholar Athlete of the Month by Chico Sports Club and holds a grade average above a B. A dense fog advisory from midnight to noon brings visibility down to one-quarter mile on highways from Carquinez Strait to surrounding valleys. Action News Now

- ➤ The Butte County Sheriff's Office and Library are boosting sign-ups for the new emergency alert system in Oroville following its switch from Code Red last December. The new system has only 8,000 registrations so far (registration takes just minutes) and aims to reach residents with limited tech access. Action News Now
