- ➤ Habitat for Humanity of Butte County held a wall signing event on Feb. 27 where community members, including Camp Fire survivor Joe Vondracek (a Chico resident for five years), painted welcoming messages on a nearly completed 750sqft one-bedroom home (built on a lot donated by survivors) in Paradise. - ➤ Amid a storm that damaged a flagpole near East Lindo Senior Apartments over the weekend, local veterans secured a fallen Stars and Stripes before it touched the ground—prompting a replacement flag and a reminder that the Chico Memorial Veterans Hall accepts tattered flags for dignified retirement on upcoming Flag Day. - ➤ Inspire School of Arts and Sciences is building its new campus on Notre Dame Boulevard; the $35 million project — funded partly by Measure C and Measure K bonds — broke ground in June and will welcome students in August with new dance, recording, and makers spaces. Action News Now
