- ➤ Augmented reality is being used downtown to show potential changes under the Revitalization Project, though some residents are not excited by the new vision. The display gives locals a fresh look at upcoming upgrades in the area. Action News Now
- ➤ Chico eight year old musician Lake Anthony gained global views online for his performances and is raising funds for his sister's rare neurological disease ahead of the Duet Day concert on May 30 at The Commons. The fundraiser will support research for BPAN. KRCR
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Visitors to the Chico Air Museum can see a new exhibit that shows the town's former Cold War missile base north of the municipal airport. The free exhibit is open (Thursday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and explains the underground silos and the base's role in history. KRCR
- ➤ The Museum of Northern California Art in Chico will host The Foster Care Museum exhibit featuring artwork by foster youth from the Inspiring Scholars program at Butte College. The opening reception is scheduled for Friday, March 20 (6-8 p.m.) and the exhibit will run until Wednesday, April 29. Action News Now

- ➤ Students from across the North Valley, including 200 competitors, gathered at Neal Dow Elementary on Wednesday, Mar. 12 for the Sacramento Valley Scholastic Chess League tournament—showcasing their strategic skills in an intense competition. Action News Now
- ➤ Chico High School was named a 2026 California Distinguished School by the California Department of Education and will hold a recognition ceremony on April 24 to honor its commitment to student success and campus culture. Action News Now

- ➤ The Chico Police Department honored 30 staff and volunteers at Neighborhood Church today; records technician Yaredt Martinez received a badge pinning and two new officers were sworn in while volunteer Bonnie Charron was named VIP of the Year, with Chief Billy Aldridge presenting the Medal of Merit.
