On Thursday, county representatives met with state officials in Chico to discuss disaster recovery, prevention and support for wildfires and other emergencies—organizers said the state will help enhance evacuation plans.
The meeting, hosted by the California State Association of Counties—comes days after Butte County sent a letter to Gov. Newsom asking for fairer disaster aid.
