- ➤ Chico native Aaron Rodgers was honored as North Valley Philanthropist of the Year at the inaugural Community Foundation Gala at the Big Room at Sierra Nevada Brewing Company on March 13 — he sent a video message explaining he could not attend due to hosting a charity flag football event in Southern California and noting his role in seeding funds for wildfire recovery and COVID-19 small business relief.
