- ➤ Paradise Animal Shelter celebrated its new 1,800 sqft cat facility today from noon to 3 p.m. at the site of the former Public Works building, where 30 cats will now have separate housing including a cat group room (cat-io) that meets a 2008 mandate. Action News Now
- ➤ Hope Plaza will host its grand opening ceremony from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Apr. 11 at the intersection of Skyway and Foster Road in Paradise, where Camp Fire survivor (Melissa Schuster) helped lead the project. Action News Now
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Chico State baseball and softball teams are off next week for the Easter holiday and spring break – they will resume their season afterward. Action News Now
- ➤ Run the Runway is a pair of one-mile and five-kilometer races scheduled to take place today at Chico Regional Airport. Winners in overall and age-group categories will earn medals. Action News Now
