- ➤ Chico Housing Action Team will host the Pancakes for CHAT fundraiser on Sunday, April 20 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the CARD Center Rose Garden, where guests can enjoy breakfast foods, fun activities and raffle prizes while supporting housing programs for homeless residents — tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for children ages 6-12, and free for kids 5 and under. ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Chico firefighters responded on Friday evening to a mountain biker crash in Upper Bidwell Park and used an off-road rescue vehicle to set up a small lifting system that safely extracted the injured rider before transporting him by ambulance. KRCR

- ➤ Sen. Adam Schiff is visiting a tur farm in Chico today with the Butte County Farm Bureau — Action News Now will air full coverage of his visit this evening. Action News Now
- ➤ The City of Chico cleared out several homeless camps Monday at Teichert Ponds, Depot Park and downtown Chico. Action News Now
- ➤ Starting this month, the City of Chico is marking curbs at 55 intersections to enforce Assembly Bill 413— the California Daylighting Law— to improve crosswalk visibility for drivers and pedestrians. The red curb markings indicate no parking zones, and the Chico Police Department will issue warning notices until citations begin on July 1. KRCR
- ➤ Chico's new Howard Slater Navigation Center (an expansion of the Torres Shelter) is nearly complete and will open in August to provide housing and services for over 250 people annually; it is expected to support up to 90% of Butte County's homeless population (funded by over $2 million in donations and grants).
