- ➤ Caper Acres is upgrading its fence for better safety and adding storybook-themed signs that high school students are designing with help from the Chico Sunrise Rotary Club. - ➤ Yesterday, the state rolled back invasive mussel restrictions at Lake Oroville so boaters can access the lake 24 hours a day without inspections or decontamination measures. New research showed a lower risk of golden mussels due to the lake's deeper, colder water conditions. Action News Now
- ➤ According to the California Department of Fish + Wildlife, wolf packs now number 12 statewide with about 90 animals. Four new packs have been identified recently in Northern California and the agency reported 21 confirmed livestock attacks from January to March while compensation applications for losses are being processed.
