- ➤ The Law Enforcement Torch Run will kick off Thursday at 8:30 a.m. at Basque Norte and finish at Chico City Plaza around 10 a.m., featuring a meet and greet with law enforcement officers and Special Olympics athletes ahead of the Northern California Special Olympics in Santa Clara on June 26. - ➤ Chico Animal Shelter has expanded its walk-in hours for pet adoption at 2579 Fair Street, allowing visitors to drop in Monday through Friday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. without an appointment, while weekend visits require scheduling. Action News Now

- ➤ Stacey Lo and Pa Vue are showcasing Plhis: Poetry Reimagined at monca, an exhibit that transforms Hmong poetry into multimedia art with digital media, textiles, and paper. - ➤ The Butte County Agricultural Commissioner has alerted residents who bought grapevines or citrus plants from Costco since April 21 after inspectors found the invasive glassy-winged sharpshooter that spreads Pierce’s disease. - ➤ The City of Chico will clear homeless camps at Bidwell Park, near Eaton and Cohasset roads, and around Windchime Park by giving campers a seven-day notice starting June 2.
