According to the CHP, a 26-year-old woman driving a 2013 Toyota Corolla lost control on a curve on Highway 32 east of Woodland Park Drive near Forest Ranch and crashed into a tree after skidding down an embankment.

Officers arrested Brian Quaschnic after he set two vegetation fires along Highway 99 near Butte Creek outside Chico—he was booked on two felony counts of arson with bail set at $75,000.

A Magalia resident, Micah Metzker, 41, was arrested on May 25th after a compliance search at his home on Guilford Circle turned up illegal firearms, fireworks, and other contraband — he now faces several charges.
