- ➤ The Moving Wall is a small replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial that traveled across the country to honor Vietnam veterans in Chico. It was shown at the Chico Elks Lodge where community members gathered on Friday morning to inscribe names + share memories, and it remains on display until Monday, June 9. KRCR
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Chico police officers arrested a shooting suspect yesterday after a five‐month investigation revealed evidence linking him to the incident—officials said the case will go to court soon. Action News Now
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ CAL FIRE and the Butte County Fire Department will burn 142 acres in Thermalito on June 9 as part of a five-year project to fight invasive yellow star thistle and reduce wildfire risk. The project runs through June 11 — it supports fire training and research in collaboration with state parks and other agencies. Action News Now
