- ➤ Chico Police responded at around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday to reports of multiple overdoses on the 100 block of Silver Dollar Way that left one person dead and two individuals treated at a local hospital. Action News Now
- ➤ In Chico, the Butte County Sheriff's Office arrested Cardenas—who was on searchable probation—for stealing an ice chest and baseball hat from a little league game after deputies found the items in his backpack. Action News Now

- ➤ Chico State’s rapid rehousing program helped students like J.M. overcome housing insecurity by covering rent and offering support—improving their academic outcomes and mental health. - ➤ On June 25, Chico Police held an all-day emergency response drill at Hooker Oak Elementary School where four teams practiced simulated scenarios to improve coordination and readiness.
