- ➤ A Chico man named Gerald Michael Thompson was sentenced to two years in state prison for having a gun as a felon after he shot Donald Laroy Stevens on July 7 at a homeless campsite — he said he acted in self-defense, but the court did not consider his claim. KRCR
- ➤ A new video shows the CHP pursuit before the deadly Highway 32 crash near Chico—three years after the incident, driver Elizabeth Dahl pleaded no contest to manslaughter in court. Action News Now

- ➤ Chico State’s Gateway Science Museum received a donation of $37,202 from the Children’s Science Education Endowment Fund through the North Valley Community Foundation, which will boost science education by funding hands-on exhibits, field trip scholarships, and employing Chico State students to lead K-12 programs.
