Good morning, Chico.
🏘️ Community

The rule has been in place since 2011 following safety concerns and a 2012 drowning death.
The Berry Creek community will honor Bear Fire victims tomorrow night at Berry Creek Grange (6 to 8 p.m.) with a tree planting, memorial bench, and 16 stones to create a space for remembrance.
Visitors may bring poems or written thoughts to bury with the tree.

The restored Mothers Four Corners Building — located 5 miles west of Chico — is now home to 4 Corners Bistro.
Valerie Miller, a former creamery owner, transformed the long-vacant building into a community cafe that brings her love of cheese and coffee to life under Butte County Farm Bureau ownership.
