- ➤ Ronnie Zurita filmed a bobcat roaming in his backyard in California Park on Friday morning, which led neighbors to confirm additional sightings and keep a closer watch on their pets. Local officials note that bobcats rarely approach people, urging residents to remain cautious. Action News Now
- ➤ The Butte Environmental Council is hosting its annual cleanup event today – check-in starts at 8:30 a.m. at Hooker Oak Park, cleanup runs from 9 a.m. until noon and a pizza party will follow at 1 p.m. Action News Now

- ➤ A TikTok account showing a person urinating at various parts of Chico State campus drew over 100,000 views and led the university to launch an investigation with police reviewing footage and asking for tips— the user has since stopped posting and apologized while students voiced mixed opinions. - ➤ Chico filmmakers Kiel Kennedy and Nolan Ford will show their award-winning horror film McCurdy Point at The Pageant Theatre on Wednesday, Sept. 24 — the screening is sold out. The found-footage movie, which won the Crimson Screen Jury Award earlier this year, will mark their local debut after years of work in LA — a milestone for the pair. North State Public Radio
