- ➤ The Honeybee Discovery Center will host its annual Show Me the Honey! Charity Casino Night at Four Corners Hall in South Chico on November 13 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., where guests use gaming chips that convert winnings into raffle tickets donated by local businesses — tickets cost $95 and include appetizers, a drink ticket, and $10 in chips with funds supporting the Bee Mobile's development. - ➤ Chico State has named professors Angela Gapa, Amy Magnus, and Matthew Stone as recipients of the annual Lantis Endowed University Chairs — a competitive award that funds research on both global and local issues. Gapa will produce a Botswana documentary and museum exhibit, Magnus will study rural reproductive health care access, and Stone will research food tourism with funding from $20,000 to $40,000 to support travel and equipment.
