COMMUNITY NEWS
- ➤ The fourth annual Gratitude Walk is set for November 1 at 9 a.m. at Bidwell Park in Chico. The event will have a Halloween twist, support Chico Friends of the Library, Chico Creek Nature Center and Butte Home Health & Hospice, and cost $25 for pre-registration or $30 on the day—participants will receive a limited-edition T-shirt while supplies last. - ➤ Downtown Chico will close Broadway between 2nd and 5th, Main between 1st and 4th, 2nd Street between Broadway and Wall, 3rd Street between Salem and Wall and 4th Street between Salem and Main from noon to 6 p.m. on Friday, October 31 for its annual Treat Street event. Vehicles will not be allowed to park in these areas—access to the 3rd Street Parking Garage remains open as the Chico Police Department works to keep the area safe. Action News Now
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Traffic on the Skyway in Paradise will be detoured to Pentz Road and Wagstaff Road due to PG&E undergrounding power lines—work will occur from 9PM to 6AM Monday to Saturday with no work on Sundays and is set to finish in late December. Action News Now

- ➤ The Chico Panthers rallied from an early setback—losing the opening set 25-20—to win decisively against Corning as seniors Amy Armstrong and Kaycee Konopka led with freshman standout Stella Pfeiffer. They will next face P.V. in an upcoming game. Action News Now
