- ➤ The Save Mart Companies and Keurig Dr Pepper have started their annual Friends Feeding Friends holiday food drive, pledging $120,000 in matching donations to help local food banks amid rising food insecurity—shoppers can add a $5 or $10 Pantry Pack at checkout at Save Mart, Lucky and FoodMaxx stores across California and Western Nevada. The drive will run through January 1, 2026—stores will mark weekly donation totals with in‐store signs. Action News Now

- ➤ On October 22, the Chico School Board met to review campus safety measures and the role of school resource officers after grant cuts. The board listened to a presentation on how to handle campus incidents as it seeks funding to maintain safety. Action News Now
- ➤ Chico State held its 4th annual Precision Ag Day at its University Farm on Wednesday, where about 200 students, farmers and industry experts gathered to see the latest farming technology—featuring a new dual-purpose harvesting machine by Flory.
