- ➤ Grandmaster Azad will host the 34th annual Basket Brigade event this Thanksgiving to deliver baskets with turkey, stuffing, a vegetable, cranberry sauce, and bread to 500 families in Butte, Glenn, and Colusa counties—volunteers will help assemble and deliver the baskets. Action News Now
- ➤ On November 11, Westmont of Chico held a Veterans Day ceremony where the Civil Air Patrol posted colors for over two dozen veteran residents—small gifts, certificates, and a rose for spouses were given to honor their service. KRCR
- ➤ The Chico Elks Lodge is building an Honor Plaza around its flagpole to honor veteran Elks members and families by installing tiles with 90 available spaces and adding engraved bricks in three red rock areas that cost $200 each to support veteran programs — U.S. Marine veteran Richard Mueller said the project pays tribute to all who served. - ➤ The Palermo Drainage Cleanup Pilot Project has begun work to clear 1.7 miles of drainage ditches ahead of the wet season in Palermo.
