- ➤ The Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians held their annual Thanksgiving food distribution yesterday that provided free meals to about 1,700 families and drew a large crowd—by 1:30 p.m. about 40 cars had lined up, so security opened a dirt parking lot to ease traffic congestion. KRCR
- ➤ A vigil for homeless youth (Light the Night) will be held outside Chico City Hall on Main Street at 5 p.m. tonight. Action News Now

- ➤ A new Grocery Outlet in South Chico celebrated its grand opening today with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. at Village Center Shopping Mall on East 20th Street—the former Big Lots location. Action News Now
- ➤ Chico’s Sierra Nevada Brewing Company is celebrating its 45th anniversary by offering the rare beer Cellly Drippins from Nov. 21 to Nov. 24 at its brewery — a limited edition release for local beer lovers. - ➤ Chico State broke ground today on its new Human Identification Laboratory at West Second and Cedar streets to expand its forensic capabilities such as DNA extraction labs & specialized workspaces for forensic anthropologists. The project, which has been in development for about two years and is expected to cost $55 million, aims to improve disaster response and criminal investigations. Action News Now
- ➤ University Photographer Matt Bates won the 2025 CSU Photo of the Year for a shot he took on a tree climbing trip at Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks — the photo captured a rare moment of perfect light.
