- ➤ On November 24th, the American Red Cross California Gold Country Region sought volunteers in Butte County— it held an information session for those interested in joining its Disaster Action Team. Action News Now
- ➤ Crews have strung more than 3,000 feet of lights on downtown Chico’s redwood tree that stands 90 feet tall using lights bought with a donation from PG&E, and the tree has been a part of the annual celebration for 10 years as it marks the 47th annual community tree lighting ceremony. The lighting ceremony will take place Friday, December 5 when Mayor Kasey Reynolds will flip the switch and music, dance performances, hot cocoa, shopping booths and a station for kids to write letters to Santa will add to the event.
