Paradise will host its annual Christmas Lighted Truck Parade this weekend as Santa Claus joins festive events and road closures are expected along The Ridge.

The third annual Butte Film Festival will showcase student films today at Meriam Park Barn in Chico with five hours of screenings.

The Department of Water Resources paused winter paving and sealing work — reopening the Brad Freeman Trail for public use at Thermalito's Afterbay.

The Shasta-Trinity National Forest issued an order on Dec.
5 to fight invasive mussels at five lakes. The plan targets golden mussels & zebra mussels to reduce the spread of these species.
