  • On Monday night, a viral video at Target showed an Enloe Health aide confronting employee Jeanie Beeman over her red shirt, sparking local debate and prompting a police visit (Tuesday). Beeman said she does not plan to press charges and dismissed social media calls for firings.  Action News Now

  • CHP warned drivers after a big rig driver left a gas station with the fuel nozzle attached on Dec. 17 — the incident reminded everyone to check their vehicles for safety.  Action News Now

  • Dana Moore, a Chico State alumna with nearly a decade in NYC improv, has launched The Nerve Comedy at the Blue Room Theatre to offer improv and storytelling classes that build community connection. She plans to host an improv festival to bring nationwide talent to Chico.  Chico State Today

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Tree work on South Park Drive in Chico nears completion after a month of road closures — crews trimmed 500 trees and removed 60 dead ones, and new paving will start this summer.  Action News Now

HEALTH NEWS

  • Soroptimist International Chico partners with Adventist Health and Ampla Health to offer free cervical cancer screening clinics this January due to high mortality rates; events will be held at Adventist Health in Paradise on Jan. 15, 22 and 26 and at Ampla Health in Chico on Jan. 5 and 12.  Action News Now
