- ➤ The Salvation Army said Red Kettle donations in Chico dropped 17% from last year, with a 14% drop reported across Northern California. Flood officials warned a flood watch will be in effect from Saturday afternoon through next Friday as heavy rain is forecast for the valley and foothills. Action News Now

- ➤ A Flood Watch is in effect from Saturday afternoon to next Friday afternoon as heavy rain from warm atmospheric rivers may cause flooding in low-lying areas — and minimum wage will rise to $16.90 on Jan. 1 though 98 work hours per week are needed for a one-bedroom rental statewide. - ➤ Residents can pick up sandbags at two Butte County Fire Rescue stations to prepare for the incoming storm. Get them at Fire Station 41 (13871 Highway 99) in Chico and at Fire Station 72 (2290 Palermo Road) in Palermo while bringing your own shovel. Action News Now
