ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Since 8:15 a.m. on Dec. 22, Lower Honcut Road south of Palermo has been closed after flooding caused cars to get stuck; first responders rescued unoccupied vehicles and county officials are planning drainage fixes to prevent further incidents. KRCR
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Since Friday, Dec. 19, Lake Oroville's water level has risen roughly 11 feet due to heavy storms, and officials project a further 40-foot increase by week's end. The added storage of over 100,000 acre-feet will help the dam manage runoff and protect downstream communities. KRCR
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Chico city officials reduced the alternative homeless camp on Eaton Road and Cohasset Road from 18 residents to 7 while removing 70 tons of trash + debris in the past two weeks, according to the assistant city manager. Action News Now
