ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Storms battered Northstate roads on Christmas morning, causing hazardous conditions and closures. Highway 99 near Chico shut between Garner Lane and Keefer Road due to flooding — chain controls went in effect on Highway 36, Highway 44, and Highway 97. KRCR

- ➤ Heavy rain and strong winds damaged trees in Chico — one branch hit a power line near 9th and Bartlett and closed a street. Action News Now

HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Butte County Public Health lifted the no swim advisory for Big Chico Creek on Dec. 9 after negative E. coli tests by the California Water Board and local health staff, though the bacteria source remains unknown. KRCR
