- ➤ The Chico Area Recreation and Park District is asking residents to share ideas on four design plans for Henshaw Park through an online survey open until June 30 - feedback will help shape future park improvements. Action News Now
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Chico State University will open its eco-friendly University Services Building tomorrow at 10 a.m. The 22,000-square-foot facility, built almost entirely from mass timber and featuring 32 electric cart charging stations, will support key operations and offer hands-on learning for students in Construction Management and Interior Architecture—marking a significant step in sustainable campus design. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The City of Chico will host a job fair on July 9th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Old Municipal Building on Main Street—department representatives will share details on job opportunities in city government. Action News Now
- ➤ Officials began a road repair project on Petersen Memorial Drive in Lower Bidwell Park on June 23rd to fix the deteriorating pavement, cracks, and potholes. The project will also grade and re-gravel the parking areas at both ends until early August. Action News Now
