- ➤ Veronica Perotti—a 19-year-old nursing student—was beaten to death in her Chico apartment on West 2nd Ave in June 1984 and her family now offers a $50,000 reward for any information that helps solve her unsolved murder. Action News Now

- ➤ The Upham Fire is burning near Rackerby in Butte County and is reported to cover 1/4 to 1/2 an acre— it started just after 5 p.m. in grass and now threatens nearby structures. Action News Now

- ➤ Congressmember Doug LaMalfa will hold a town hall today in Red Bluff from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Red Bluff Community Center on Jackson Street to answer local questions; a second town hall is set for today at 7:30 a.m. at the Chico Elks Lodge with Action News Now reporting and streaming the session. - ➤ Chico will hold a public workshop tomorrow at 6 p.m. in the City Council Chambers to gather resident input for the Downtown Revitalization Project. City officials say the project will update old sewers and improve downtown walkability—without removing parking spots—and the meeting is the second of six planned workshops. Action News Now
